BMW first started making cars in 1928, producing the BMW 3/15: its first version of the ‘Dixi’ after taking over Automobilwerk Eisenach (AWE). The following year, BMW produced the BMW 3/15 DA-2: an upgraded version of the Dixi, and in 1932 they released their first independently manufactured car: the BMW 3/20 PS.
Since then, BMW have gone on to produce a host of loved classics, such as the BMW E30, the BMW E24 and the BMW Z3, each one a testament to the beautiful design and sleek craftsmanship of the brand.
